Research interests/biography

Improving the understanding of Arctic climate-related extreme events and their connection to policy, decision-making efforts, long-term planning, and the effects of long term climate shifts on local, national, and international security concerns. Bennett is an active member of multiple long-term research projects, including the study of Aquatic Ecosystem Vulnerability to Fire and Climate Change in ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥n Boreal Forests with the Department of Defense’s SERDP program, and the InteRFACE project, studying coastal near-shore environments in the Arctic with the Department of Energy.
