Join a Living Learning Community

Why search for a study group, when you can live with them? LLCs bring together students with similar identities, values or needs to be each other's neighbors in their residence hall. A successful first year of college looks different for every student, so we offer programs that appeal to a diverse set of interests — including outdoor adventures, gender diversity and the Honors College. LLCs are designed to give students the opportunity to adjust to UAF academically, as well as socially. On your housing application, let us know if you’re interested in an LLC!

UP HERE, COMMUNITY
MEANS EVERYTHING.

Fairbanks is best when shared. Winter feels warmer with a hot cocoa in hand at a skate party in the Patty Ice Arena. Summer feels chiller from the comfort of a picnic blanket at a live bluegrass concert in UAF’s botanical gardens. According to the American Council on Education, students who live on campus are also more likely to graduate. UAF Residence Life is committed to enriching the student's life by cultivating a safe and strong campus community.
