Exploring research collaboration between the University of ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ and U.S. Department of Energy national laboratories

Held in 2018, ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ National Lab Day sought to create links and explore opportunities for partnerships between the Department of Energy national laboratories and the University of ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ that would help ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ and the nation:

  • Grow the economy
  • Develop and implement sustainable energy solutions
  • Understand the implications of a changing Arctic environment

Organizers aimed to increase awareness and understanding of ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥â€™s unique energy-related resources, infrastructure and environment in order to:

  • Identify research areas and mechanisms through which national labs could contribute to addressing ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥â€™s energy-related challenges; and
  • Identify opportunities to utilize ÀÖ»¢Ö±²¥ expertise and resources to support research in energy, climate and security at the national level.
